This show is one I’m crazy excited about. I’ve been trying to get Frank Bergh and AK Nacer to our stage for some time, and will be grateful to see them on September 2. This show is also our Kickstarter Kickoff Party!

Last month we had a tie for the audience’s favorite walk-up teller, statistically incredible! We’re happy to have both  Xavier and Ron back with us, along with another fine pair, Jen Ellison and her husband Dave Stinton.

Yeah, color me excited.

AK Nacer

AK is a professional photographer, in part thanks to his successful 365 Photo project. His work has been viewed millions of times online on sites like FStoppers.com, MSNBC.com, The Huffington Post, and AOL.com.

Aaron has taught a sold-out seminar at the B&H Event Space in New York City; has worked for reputable clients such as Simon and Schuster and Immersion Creative; and has been published in Recognize Magazine, Top Gear Magazine, Practical Photoshop Magazine, Zoom.nl, DigitalPHOTO Photoshop and others.

Aaron began teaching Photoshop and photography in 2008, specializing in live and one-on-one classes. Since then, he has taught online Photoshop and photography to over 100,000 people in over 170 countries.

Most of the techniques he uses come from thousands of hours of experimentation.

Aaron is the Founder and President of Phlearn. His goal is to bring passion and a positive change in people’s lives through Photography, Photoshop and Inspiration. He provides a resource that helps people to feel like they are actually cared for, and not just being sold something. That is why he works over 100 hours every week to bring amazing free content to the Phamily.

Xavier

Xavier Retana is 16 years old and was born in Chicago, Illinois. He first started telling stories at “Grown Folks Stories” right here in Chicago. He has received an education from the prestigious streets of Tuscon, Arizona, but is currently degreeless in every academic subject. The writer of this bio has taken it upon himself to fulfill the request of an anonymous mother that she be mentioned in this bio. Xavier showed up last month to see his mom, Lily Be, perform her feature story. He came for the food, but left with the win alongside the (also great) Ron Sattar. He is an alive human being with some stories to tell, that’s about it.

Dave Stinton & Jen Ellison, an incredible creative duo.

Jen Ellison has been performing, writing and directing in Chicago for 15 years. Directing credits include Hackneyed for the Collaboraction 2008 Sketchbook, Metaluna and the Amazing Science of the Mind Revue for WNEP Theater, Kerpatty’s sketch show Funsplosion, and The Swan (with John Kahara) at Trap Door Theatre. Jen has also written and and directed Let There Be Light..! (Co-written with Dave Stinton) and Invasion of the Minnesota Normals, which had it’s Chicago premiere with WNEP. Invasion of the Minnesota Normals was also produced by Buzzworks of Los Angeles in March 2008. Other writing and script development credits include The Armageddon Radio Hour (contributing writer), The Mysteries of Harris Burdick (contributing writer), Wise Blood (adaptation), Apocalypse (contributing writer), Lives of the Monster Dogs (adaptation). Jen also teaches Writing and Improv at the Second City Training Center.

Dave Stinton has been writing and performing in Chicago for 13 years. He’s been a frequent storyteller around town, at “This Much Is True,” “Story Club,” and “SKALD,” and his play “Let There Be Light” (co-written with Jen Ellison) was selected for the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival. He has opened for such comedians as Dan Telfer and [FILL IN NAMES OF OTHER FAMOUS COMEDIANS AS YOU OPEN FOR THEM].

Frank Bergh

Frank Bergh is an electrical engineer and an advocate for community-based design solutions to local and global challenges. He currently serves as the president of the Great Lakes Region of Engineers Without Borders-USA, coordinating over 50 teams of students and professionals engaging in community-driven, sustainable development projects around the world. Frank works for Nordex as the electrical engineer for grid interconnection of wind farms in North and South America. He has a certificate in community-based development and has worked on engineering and construction projects in 11 countries.

Ron Sattar

Ron is the founder of Sattar Group Incorporated, an internet consulting company. He has a wide and diverse background including: a Bachelors in Biochemistry, acting in independent films, writing poetry, short stories, and he enjoys writing applications on the internet. His next app will be out soon!

His newest adventure in life is reading short stories on stage, the most challenging of his ventures so far. Learn more about him on Ramboud.com or check him out at RonSattar.com.
