Howard Lieberman’s Story Luck Show Debut, Sunday June 15th.

You’ve got a friend who tells easy to digest stories.

Stories about the nice lady they met at Sephora or the old man who’s dog they love to pet. Then there’s performance artists like Howard Liberman. His mouth opens and you stop, sit back, and listen. His stories linger long after the last word.

You won’t have time to flinch, as his stories move between humor and heartbreak. He’s lived a life of curiosity and speaks from a place grounded and true.

We’re thrilled to be featuring Howard at our upcoming Story Luck show on June 15th. Click that link and buy a ticket because with you at our side, we’ll be able to share drying-our-eyes-duty. (Will it be from tears of laughter or sorrow!)

Howard Lieberman is a Nationally known storyteller, poet, performance artist and political activist. Howard moved from his hometown Chicago, to edgy Brooklyn New York, to bucolic Stillwater MN in 1990. His jaded yet surprisingly tender style has made him a favorite on the national and, thanks to Zoom, global performance scene. Howard is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Fringe Festival and The National Storytelling Network. He is a current board member of Story Arts of Minnesota.

Howard brings the weight of politics, personal experience, and performance into one voice. He doesn’t shy away from the harder stuff, but he also doesn’t use it as armor. He lets you in. And invites you to reflect, laugh, remember, and maybe even get a little angry in the best kind of way.

Howard’s background spans cities and communities. Howard’s got Chicago roots, New York grit, and Minnesota calm. He’s shaped the national storytelling scene from behind the scenes and from the stage. Yet when you’re in the audience, it’ll feel simple, like a lucky conversation with a new friend.

Come through. Bring a dish. Bring a friend. Bring the part of you ready to listen with delight… and perhaps, if the spirit moves you, bring the story you’ve been meaning to tell.
