Then there are those like DJ Rybski—people who land a punchline so precisely you’re still chuckling hours later, even while processing the sting of truth buried inside it.
For our April 6th Story Luck show, we’re thrilled to welcome stand-up comic DJ Rybski to the lineup. His presence brings something a little different to the mic: comedy that’s sharp, smart, and steeped in lived experience.
DJ Rybski is a stand up comic from the southside of Chicago. He recorded a set for Nateland Live at Zanies Nashville and recently featured on the A-List showcase at the prestigious 312 Comedy Festival. His writing is quick, smart and truthful making him a favorite online where his comedy has been viewed millions of times. He’s headlined some of the best clubs in the country and performs regularly at Zanies Chicago, Zanies Rosemont, Laugh Factory, Comedy Vault and the Chicago Improv.
Whether you’ve caught him on stage at one of Chicago’s legendary comedy clubs or watched one of his viral sets online, DJ Rybski brings a distinctive voice to the art of storytelling. And while laughter is his medium, there’s always more simmering beneath the surface—reflections on class, identity, and the beautifully absurd moments that make up life in this city.
Tonight, you’ll get a chance to see him up close in an intimate venue that celebrates stories in all their forms—from the poignant to the hilarious, and everything in between.
