The Story Luck Show is back this December with a night that promises big laughs, heartfelt stories, and a fresh new voice on our stage.
For this special edition, we’re thrilled to welcome Heidi Grandberry, a stand-up comedian whose journey from engineering to comedy is as bold as it is inspiring. This will be Heidi’s first time gracing the Story Luck stage, and we can’t wait to share her energy with our Chicago audience.

Heidi Grandberry is a New York City-based stand-up comedian known for her sharp wit, engaging stage presence, and unique journey from civil engineering to comedy. Originally from the Midwest, Heidi made the bold move to NYC to chase her comedic dreams, leaving behind a career in civil engineering to fully embrace her passion for making people laugh. Before stepping into stand-up, Heidi honed her comedic skills in Chicago’s vibrant scene, exploring improv and storytelling at the legendary Second City. Since her move to New York, she’s become a fixture in the city’s comedy circuit, performing at renowned clubs and producing her own standout shows, including Injured Comedy Show, Heidi’s HaHa Halloween, Backyard Family Feud, and Valentine’s Hangover. With aspirations to get passed at The Comedy Cellar—the world’s premier comedy club—and take her act on the road, Heidi is laser-focused on her ultimate goal: to be on stage as much as possible, connecting with audiences and spreading laughter everywhere she goes.
It’s not every day we get to host a performer who brings both comedic precision and genuine storytelling depth. Heidi’s humor is grounded in real experiences. The kind that make you laugh, nod, and see a bit of your own story reflected back.
