Here’s the Story on June 2nd!

Join Here’s the Story on June 2nd for some of the greatest people and best storytellers we know. For just this month’s show, we will be just next door to Stage 773, at Theater Wit, enjoying their pretty exposed brick walls and abundant air conditioning… yes indeedy!

If you’d like to bring a story to Here’s the Story, please do. We choose five people for each show from the list of people who sign up that night. We don’t guarantee people walk-up slots ahead of time, or select our open-swap tellers on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we choose from the full list of names on the night of the performance, through a process of balancing for gender, diversity of age, experience, background and story content. All things being equal, we roll the dice for luck.

As our return audience members may know, stories that do well on our stage are those that a person feels compelled to share from a place of generosity. In other words, you have something that you would like to give away.  Because you think the story is entertaining or dynamic or funny, or because you learned something you want to share, or you feel the story has something in it that will be transferred as a gift when it is told.  Walk-up slots are 5-7 minutes long.

The features we are bringing you this month are wonderful people and great entertainers. Read on to learn more about them!
